We drove through the night and made it to Kirtland, Ohio just in time to get a tour of the Kirtland Temple. It was such an amazing experience and two of our members had the opportunity to play "The Spirit of God" on the piano inside of the temple as we all sung along. Singing the same song the members sung back when the temple was originally dedicated and being able to sing it in the exact same place was truly an experience I'm sure many of us won't forget.
Afterwards we were able to take a tour of the N.K. Whitney Store and the School of Prophets where many revelations were given to Joseph Smith. It was a quick tour but still a great experience–especially for those who had never been.
We finally finished the drive and made it to Gowanda, New York! We divided up into host families and were just so grateful to finally sleep in real beds!
